How we rank trends
TrendyExport runs a daily pipeline that aggregates product signals from public ecommerce sources and assigns each candidate a composite trend score.
Data sources
- Search demand — Google Trends queries by region and timeframe.
- Marketplace rank — Amazon Best Sellers, Walmart, eBay rising deals.
- China supply velocity — AliExpress, DHgate listing recency and review growth.
- Viral commerce — TikTok Shop signal mining via public discovery pages.
- Independent retail — Etsy trending shops and Shopify discovery feeds.
Score formula
Each candidate product is scored with a weighted blend of velocity (week-over-week signal growth), breadth (number of independent sources mentioning it) and recency (decay weighted by signal age).
AI report generation
Top-ranked candidates that have not been covered recently are fed to a structured AI editorial pipeline. Each report follows EEAT principles — clear sourcing, real numbers, honest tradeoffs — and is dedupe-checked against our historical archive before publishing.
What we do not do
